TK:DESIGN is Terri Kayed.

Originally from the United States, Terri has lived and worked in New Zealand since first immigrating to Auckland in 2000. She has more than 18 years professional experience and is passionate about customer service and building strong client relationships. Terri operates TK:DESIGN from the heart of the sunny Hawkes Bay in picturesque Taradale, Napier.

Terri learned the basics of her craft at Eastern Michigan University, where she studied fine art and graphic design before the birth of desktop publishing. She landed her first “design” job in 1992 — doing just about everything required to run a small printshop — and never looked back. Since then she has worked in larger print houses, a few advertising agencies, an international travel magazine, a direct mail house and a company specialising in digital print and prepress.

During the course of her design career Terri has worn many hats: office manager, senior graphic designer, creative director, art department manager, production manager, key account manager, general manager — but under each one she remained an active graphic designer, often lending her talents at public speaking, illustration and creative writing to many projects.
